Welcome to the Canterbury Software Cluster
The Canterbury Software Cluster (Canterbury Software Inc.) is a non-profit organisation aimed at helping the Canterbury software sector succeed at home and worldwide. We have a broad-based member community - New Zealand's most innovative companies and successful entrepreneurs based in a region renowned globally for its market leading software.
Our activities include monthly Speaker Events where industry experts come along and share their knowledge of particular topics, and software industry workshops and facilitation. Our meetings provide excellent networking opportunities for members, software engineers and investors to meet and make contacts.
The Canterbury Software Summit is our main event of the year. Last year it was held on 8 September as part of the Rutherford Innovation Showcase and featured inspiring stories from business leaders as well as informative technical sessions.

Recently we held a speaker forum on the Canterbury Software recruitment market: there are currently plenty of openings and a number of key software skills shortages were identified.

Undergraduate Internship Funding
Canterbury businesses now have the opportunity to apply for funding from the Ministry of Science and Innovation to hire an undergraduate student from the University of Canterbury or Lincoln University over the summer months to do R&D work. Find out more.
