Integrating Hard Copy Documents with SharePoint 2010 At Ngai Tahu: Ngai Tahu make extensive use of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Standard and needed a solution to allow for the scanning, indexing and uploading of documents and images in two areas:

- Legal Contracts

- Whakapapa Records

Fuji Xerox worked with Ngai Tahu to develop a solution that allowed authorised users to scan documentation directly from any compatible FX ApeosPort device directly into the SharePoint DMS, including the ability to index documents and provide metadata at the device screen.

The deployed solution has led to very significant gains in efficiency, and a tangible, rapid ROI. The solution will be discussed, end to end, during the session, from capture, through indexing and upload.  Attendees will get an excellent insight and ideas relating to integrating hard copy documents and files into a SharePoint 2010 Server Standard and see how it is accessed via CRM.

 I hope to change the presentation slightly to focus more on the job and how we tackled it and the gotchas on the way and solutions.
