Speaker:                              Ian Wells, QA Manager, Telogis

Topic:                                    Concurrent Product Release Planning with JIRA

Ian has been using Jira for tracking issues for the last 4 years in 2 different jobs. JIRA, the bug tracking system sold by Atlassian, is becoming used by more and more organizations. This talk will be of interest to those using JIRA, or considering using JIRA. Ian will describe a method of configuring  JIRA, in a multi-product environment,  enabling consistent and accurate project and test status to be displayed to the whole team.

This will be a shorter version of the talk he gave  at the Atlassian Summit in San Francisco, June 2012: http://summit.atlassian.com/archives/2012/jira-everywhere/concurrent-product-release-planning.

The talk will be followed by  a Q&A session and the opportunity for attendees to also stand up and exchange ideas, tips, and tricks about effective use of Atlassian tools in today's fast paced software development environments.

About the Speaker: Ian Wells is QA Manager at Telogis Inc, "One Platform for Location Intelligence", Ian is an experienced tester, having managed test teams at Trimble Navigation, Hewlett Packard and several high performance compiler companies.  Ian has a special interest in developing bug tracking tools that can be configured to how we really need to work, not the other way around.  Ian has configured JIRA for the last 4 years and attended 2 Atlassian user conference meetings.

To help us plan for the refreshments, please RSVP for this event by email to matthewg@softed.com

We look forward to seeing you there!

Cheers,

Matt
